The Great Hack Reaction Paper

When I first heard what is this documentary all about I was ofcourse shocked and curious, curious of what is the real story. In the other hand, I am grateful that this documentary was made because it is really a serious matter. An election is something to be serious and fair matter especially the presidency election. The Great Hack shows that the alleged issues during 2016 election in America where in that time Clinton and Trumph are running for presidency. Then suddenly there are whistle blowers that spoke their minds about Cambridge Analytica issue..

First of all, I admire the whistle blowers who have courage to share their experiences in working in Cambridge company. Especially Brittany Kaiser who first saw that the data from people were stored and she told Cambridge heads to delete those. Then it turned out that Cambridge Analytica didn’t delete those data and it continued to be recorded in their systems. I strongly disagree on collecting data from personal and private lives of the Facebook users. Speaking of Facebook, Zuckerberg said he doesn’t know anything about this and I am disappointed for not securing enough the private information of his users.

They said these data’s from people were used to spread false informations about Hillary Clinton in Facebook during the election that caused Donald Trumph to win the presidency election. In the end of the documentary, it is not confirmed that there is a controversial happened in the said election. But what is sure and important that the data and private information are stolen and stored in Cambridge Analytica systems. What I learned in this documentary is to not fully trust the modern technology because you don’t know what will happen to your private data. Lastly, I realized that technology truly helps us but it can also destroy us.

What do I do in life? What are my interests and hobbies? What do I love?

I am a grade 12 HUMSS student in Mary the Queen College in Pampanga, Philippines. As a HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) student I am more engage in human and social interaction. Debate, speech, recitation, writing and role play are some of the things we are required to perform in school. To be honest, it really helps me to boost my confidence and public speaking skills.

When I feel stress and exhaust in academic tasks, I lighten my mood in buying a cup of milktea . It is my happy drink and it causes me to smile 🙂 Let me share you my favorite flavor, Wintermelon milktea with tapioca pearls and creampuff from Tastes from the Greens, which is just right outside our school.

Let’s talk about my hobbies. I am an ambivert type of person where in sometimes I want to socialize and go out but sometimes I prefer to be alone. When I’m all by myself that is when my creative side kicks in.

Starting 4th grade I got interest in drawing. Until now I draw whenever I can’t say my feelings and thoughts. I am not that good in drawing but I find it one of the ways where I can express my self.

I also like paper crafts like origami and paper cutting. I also love designing my projects like pop-up images, painting and lettering. I also love stitching, sewing and embroidery. When I was a kid I did my barbie doll’s clothes. And one time we did an embroidery project in school that is when and where I learned more about stitching. And up to now I still improve my hobby skills.
